Yeah Sue, that's a great looking bike!! Wise choice!!

As much of a Guzzi fiend as I am, I'd still lean a little more heavily toward the Bonneville over the V7. They both do a very good job at what they do, but the Bonny seems to do a little more of it, with more power, etc. And, the new 17" tubeless wheels would definitely be a huge plus: not quite as vintage looking as wires, but a much larger selection of tires available, and infinitely easier to fix a flat on!

Again, Congratulations!!   [smiley=thumbsup.gif] [smiley=thumbup.gif] [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

[size=14]Wow!  [/size][/font]

Yay for you!    [smiley=clap.gif]     I guess I haven't been here in a while and I completely missed this until now.  How exciting!   What a wonderful, beautiful bike.  Ooooo, I'm jealous too.

The local BMW dealer has added Triumph to their line.  I'll have to go look at those again.  I really like all the upgrades they've done without loosing the classic looks but haven't gotten myself to get a ride on one yet.  I'll have to see what I can do about that, especially now.

Wow.  So cool Sue!   8-)  Thanks for posting pics so fast.

Great pics, Sue!  Looks like you have your feet flat on the ground.  Hooray for that!  Great looking bike.  Have fun dressing it up.

Oh - don't forget to change your signature!  ;) Now that you've made the plunge.

So many congratulations I am flabbergasted!!!
Well, I changed my signature Aïda..thanks for the reminder!  I think the lower seat may attract quite a few of us with shorter inseams. I absolutely love that part. I do notice the extra pounds on the Bonnie in comparison to LRB but as I said before the low CoG makes it really manageable. Easy to get upright...just a bit easier with LRB. Power differences maybe yes maybe no. I haven't felt a big difference. LRB has so many good features like the hinged seat, easy-off gastank..sheer beauty. He still wins! Like to have a backup bike and the Bonnie is very beautiful too. I will get a single seat and rack for it plus a seat cowl which can go over it when the rack specifically is taken off for when I want to look cool!  More cool??!

As for luggage I will get some as I may be taking the Triumph out west where there are them thar mountains to climb. So FI may be a better choice. Haven't made up my mind though. I can see maybe what the future holds....LRB at the eastern rallies and ? Triumph going to the western rallies!

Only bit of a downer I am working to resolve is the cruising range of the Triumph. Maybe 150 or so miles. I have to find out what my bike will do.  I know, I know, I gotta stop more anyway but I like the 200 miles without reserve in places like some parts of the west USA. So I am working on taking along some extra gas..either with a tankbuddy, tour tank, pegpacker or even MSR bottles in seat panniers. I'd like to keep the weight low. Only 1 gallon extra. Probably not bother to rig up an automatic flow into the tank but just stop and fill the tank up. The FI bike may need more of a petcock put in place so the gas goes into the tank and the fuel pump inside pumps it as per norm. The carb'd bikes can use gravity feeds I have read. Simpler to just pour it in.
All ideas welcome!!!!!

Got brother Rich's windscreen on...a National Cycle Streetshield. Also first things first...the heated liner SAE pigtail is on.

Funny you should mention pumps.  I just installed one of these on my Aux tank on the BSA with zip ties.  Works great.  I have the 1-4 psi pump on my bike.

Hey that might just solve some problems! Thanks for the link!
So the Bonnie bike got 59 mpg on a very very windy day yesterday. The reserve light came on at 205 measly km!!! (125mi) Given 59 mpg, I should be able to ride 170 miles before reserve then 42 miles on reserve but i think that's a dream. Lots of gas hides on the rightside and can't be accessed unless ya tip the bike over. Maybe I could rig up something to pump that gas over to the left and become accessible. LRB has somewhat the same problem with what .4 of a litre of gas on the rightside hiding?? How would I go about that Semper? Maybe a jerrycan is still the right idea.
