YeeHaw Sue!!

Congrats on the new ride.  I think you made a very good choice, but I'm anxious to see those pics!   [smiley=camera_sm.jpg]
I've always really liked the Triumphs and am sad to say that Capitol BMW is no longer a Triumph Dealer.   :(  The new owner and Triumph just couldn't make things work with the new digs we've moved into.

Hope you had a fun and exciting ride home with your new toy today.  Let us hear how you like it and remember those pics!

Ladies and gentlemen, I believe this is a good look at the Bonnie the Fair Sue scored today!  Is this a cool bike or what?   8-)

Hopefully, we'll see another pic soon, with the real-life Sue sitting on it, grinning from ear to ear!   ;)

Hi Sue, Congratulations on your European union, I think all three of you will be very happy together :) The BMW dealer in Maine also sell Triumphs, so every time I'm down there I get to drool over the English eye candy. Can't wait to hear all about your new addition and see some photos.

I apologise for the size of those pics!! Preview didn't show it. Don't take 2048 KB too seriously. 100-200 maybe?
1983 R65LS - LRB still my favourite!? 1988 Honda NX250, "Toodles Too" and a Suzuki DR650, "Calypso." All stored in the "Brrrmmm Closet".

Thank you all my good friends for all the good wishes and congrats!!! As you desire....here are some pics. I think you will agree that Derek is no Karsh!! But at least we got some. The one at home shows the state of the season...Fall. At least I didn't embarrass myself as I did on the GS in '08 as the clutch friction zone of this bike is perfect for me and the lever is adjustable!! Yay!!!!

Yup, it's an SE. I liked the Bonnie Black best but the price of the slightly used SE was too much to pass up.(1,408km)  Seat height is a pure joy!!! Pickup is great like the F650GS twin was. Much better throttle control on this FI moto than the GS. Both levers are adjustable for small hands. Has a very low CoG I think as the extra 50 lbs over LRB is not noticeable and sitting beside each other in the Brrrm Closet LRB looks positively big..Ok...bigger!

A lot of my decision was based on impulse....then price...and then I rationalized the rest. Like the dealer close, great dealer network, well tested design, lots of accessories...you know how it goes! Bob, the Moto Guzzi didn't so much lose the bet but just wasn't in the game at that exact moment in time. I still prefer valves where ya can get at them and shaft drive. And as for beauty both being so retro that it is a toss up.

So I am a happy camper with lots to do to get this bike in long distance trim for next season. Getting it as good as LRB will be hard to do! But the FI is nice for out west.

Thanks again guys and gals.....Aïda you maybe like this one for sittin' on!!??

Looks very cool, I understand about retro and I think the Triumph bikes are doing an excellent job of keeping up with the times while still looking like a real motorcycle!

I had a Bonnie on test earlier this year. Really nice & easy bike to ride with more than enough power.... well done!
