crash bar lights

Anyone here ever explore lights on your crash bars?  Just adding another thought to my already too big list of things to do.  Do you have any pictures of how it turned out?

I've got a set of PIAA 510's on the oilhead and a set of PIAA 40's on the '81 R65 .

I'll get some pictures this evening .

I would suggest staying with the smaller lights, the PIAA 40's (6.25 inch diameter) needed extra gussets on the bracket, to keep them from vibrating .

Here's a few pictures of the PIAA 40's on the '81 R65 .

Here's the smaller PIAA 510 on the oilhead .

I got 'em cheap on eBay, $50US including shipping .

I had to take the PIAA H3 bulbs out and replace them with regular halogen bulbs from NAPA, they were too much in night conditions .

It's  an odd view to oncoming traffic, a triangle of lights, the only other light arrangement like this that is commonly seen, is on a locomotive !!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I have even seen people that I am overtaking, pull off the road, they think it's a law enforcement vehicle . ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Still having problems with Photobucket  picture resizing, the first one came out correct, but the other two are the original size !!!!!
