You're right about that, Monte. But it's interesting that the S1000RR seems to be doing very well in the classes below this top level of racing. In Utah at the WSB event, BMWs came 2nd and 5th, I believe, in the Super Stock races, and the leader for quite a bit of the race was on one, too (but he crashed).
Corser says that the tires just don't hold up long enough through a race. He was 2nd for a long time in the 2nd race at Utah, but he faded in the last half of the race.
