Here's one from 2008, The place is Lassen National Park
A trip I'd do over and over again.

Never heard of that National Park - I googled it and it looks very interesting!  Should put that one on my list for next time I head out west.

Envious of the sparkly exhaust system, Dav. Very sharp looking R65 and rider.

Note to self: Clean the R65 this weekend.   Monte [smiley=beer.gif]

TxBurt cleverly included his mug shot as an avatar in the "Show me your R65" thread. I think that's the same one I recently saw hanging in the Denton County Post Office.

Bengt Mike and Monte were playing with carburetors this morning. Big fun after a pleasant morning ride.

In an effort to reduce the trauma regarding Mike's image posting issues, here's a snap of Mike and his R65.

Thanks Montesa, dadgum that photo is almost flattering.  Yep, we were trying to balance carbs but I still have some rebuilding/refitment to perform.  It's amazing that the little guy even ran at all.  I don't have a lot of saddle time on the bike but it seemed very rough and underpowered.  Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the PO had installed the throttle cable to the choke and the choke cable to the throttle!!!  Sorted that out very quickly and now it's quite a pleasure to ride.  Still needs a bunch of work though to be up to speed.
