Pattimarie is one tough cookie!  Glad to hear she was up and about quickly and is almost heading home!  John, take good care of her and yourself as well.  Pretty soon you won't be able to keep up with her, I bet!

Thanks for the news updates Steve.

Aida,

We got the get well card from you and Graham yesterday, and we wanted to let you know how much we appreciate it!!  Wow!!!  At first, we didn't recognize the last name or return address, but as soon as she opened it to read the inside and I saw the names, I shouted, "It's from Aida and Graham!"  Naturally, she responded with, "Who???"  Then, I explained who you were, and then she said she remembered me telling her about you guys from Willville, and said she sure appreciated the kind gesture.

It really brightened up her day!!!  Thanks!!!  You two are the BEST!!!!!  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Glad to brighten her day!  So is Pattimarie home and all settled back in?  How are you holding up?

She's doin' OK, mostly having difficulty adapting to trying to sit and sleep in the bed.  (She can't sit on our sofa or easy chair, as they sit too low and she can't get up out of either.)  Much more difficult for her to try and scooch herself into place without using her arms (the doctor said no using her arms for 4 weeks, so as not to damage the healing incision on her breastbone that they had to crack open to get to her heart).   She's still kind of weak, as one might expect, but she is getting a little better with each day.

As for me, I've settled into becoming the cook, maid, driver, and nurse for the next month.  MuShu and Willie, our Shih-Tzu and Pomeranian, can sense that PM is not well, and have given her a wide berth and are staying out of her way, which is good.

But being at home is a helluva lot better than being at the hospital, I can say that for sure!    ;)

Glad to hear Pattimarie is back from the hospital John.
Our prayers are with you two.
Now (for a change) you can start taking better care of Pattiemarie than you have Britta.
 ;)
Best,
Ed

Yeah, but crap... She'll cost almost as much to take care of as Britta!   ::)

Glad she's home and recovering John. It's better for you too as you're nearer to a fridge full of "cold ones".   ;D
