this is my first shaft driven bike and i just dont think i ever notice that feeling before. i feel that i did make it more pronounced with the shock angle change. it only took a couple spins around the block to get used to the rear wheel lift.

i planned on having a white decal like the one i have on the orange tank put on the black one,i think it would also match my arai phil reed helmet nice if i did that. my wife thinks i should do a silver or maybe a alumium color to off set the black tank and the rest of the bike.

next big thing to find out is the head lamp at night, it seems to work nice but i want to be able to see at night so one of the next shake down runs will be after 10 pm to see if that stays or goes.

As far as headlamps are concerned, if the one you have is lacking, there is very little wrong with the original, if you have it.  You will have to find a set of 'ears' to mount it though.

Depends on the 'look' that you want.

I am using the original on mine as it still suited the 60's cafe racer look that I was after, I mounted using a set of aluminium ears.  This setup seems to be able to attract 'flying critters' at night with great efficiency (have to keep my mouth shut in summer).  I can see a great distance with it, now it sports a halogen bulb thingy...

The mounts that I use are from here:

I think you should go with high and low beam HID headlights, with a look maybe similar to the R1200GS, which frightens me.

As long as I'm spending somebody else's money!

ok i am DONE! [smiley=clap.gif]

i had it running and it was running good but at some weird flat spots and dead spots. after fighting it for almost three weeks i finally figured out what it was. needle jets!! darn things where not bing needle jets, my friend at the shop thinks they might be a mukuni needle jets. so i have the proper bing needle jets, its tuned properly, alittle on the rich side cause the pluggs are not white or gray but closer to a dark brown but to black. i have to exhaust tuned to what i like to hear without driving people totally nuts. the seat is where i like it.

i am DONE!!!!

eight months later starting with a junk yard salvage bike to a road burner!!!

Yeah Jon, Aida's right, you can't announce your bike's all finished & then provide no pics! [smiley=camera_sm.jpg]
I mean, what's up with that??!!

It's not really "finished" until everyone gets to "oooh" and "aahhh" and tell you how cool it is!!  ;)

Wow.  I want to take it to a track.  That looks like jail type fun.

What did you end up with for head lights?

Were you thinking of the Triumph pattern for your fuel tank flash?

Nice work.

the shocks are some china made repo that i got from somewhere, i see some like them at omars and mikesxs.

i told the painter i wanted something like my orange tank but in white.

dash? it doesnt have a dash anymore. ;D just a bit of polished top clamp. one of the guys who works for me asked about that, how fast do i know i going? by feel and i do now have a little gps so when i go on longer trips i know for sure what i am doing and not just pacing everyone else.

ok it is now winter again and little hope of getting out and riding on the streets till we get some warmer weather or i need to stud up a set of tires for ice covered roads. anyways i have a extra r65 frame sitting there in the garage and i will have another go at my bike. so i pretty much stripped it down again. this time i am going to go a little more with the frame mods.
that is where is started this time around

here are the first couple cuts

the clip on bars i measured how far i needed to go and then took a grinder to the bars to get them down to size.

i wont be using them, i would sell them if you want them.

my space blog?? i have a myspace account that i cant figure out how to use!! ;D

and rich it is going to be old meets new with a touch of far east meets west germany meets harley. that is my teaser for where i'm going this time.
