Removing piston from caliper
« on: August 18, 2013, 04:31:12 PM »
So I took apart the brembo caliper on my 86 r65 to rebuild the leaky caliper. But I cannot figure out how to remove the piston. I have tried to pull on the ceramic part of the piston and pieces just chip off. Any help will be appreciated .

Compressed air is about the only way to get it removed once the caliper is removed from the bike .

If you do it, place the caliper inside a large plastic bag with some old shop rags to keep it from going too far when it does come out .

Fluid will go everywhere when you do this, so be prepared for it !!!!!
