Feedback from sellers and other websites seems conclusive and supports Snowbums article.
The following 4 pot calipers have 108mm mounting hole centers
BMW #34112331627 Left Ride (non-abs)
BMW #34112331628 Right side (non-abs)
K 1 Â 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993
K 100 RS Â 1990, 1991, 1992
K 1100 LT Â 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997
K 1100 RS Â 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996
R 100 R Â 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996
R 100 R Mystik  1994, 1995, 1996
R 1100 RS Â 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001.
Also 34112333111 and 34112333112 K 1200 LT 1999, 2000, 2001.
There could be more but I feel that's more than enough to keep me going. I did notice the brake line was connected to the caliper via a banjo bolt on the K1200 LT.
Again, its not the caliper but the rotor offset which is the potential minor set back.

The pads and pistons don't care if they are totally centered as long as they don't mechanically bottom out in the caliper and that the pistons on the side that is farthest away doesn't come more than half way out of the caliper when you have fully worn pads in place. Hydraulically, they see they same thing: psi/sq" of piston.
What IS important is that they are as parrallel as possible to the rotor, even with floating rotors." Unquote.
