Ran into another problem due to the carb mismatch .
The jet needle, that's one that is in the slide , the /335 carb has a threaded plug you remove to get the needle out, then you remove and 'e' clip out of the groove on the needle, the /326, has the needle type that you pull on and rotate to get it out of the slide .
Not a great picture of the needles, but it's the best i could get .

Can't 'modify' the replacement needle to work with what I've got .
I'm going to have lunch and think about this for a bit .

Alright, the '84 LS parts bike has come in handy again, it's got the 64/32/335 and /336 carbs, so I'll remove one of the slides from a carb and use it .
If I had known what issues I was going to have, I would have taken both carbs off of the '84 LS and done a rebuild on them and put them on the '82 LS !!!!!!
