On the top-front mount, the tapered, hex-head bolt goes in first from the inside.
Well that's interesting. Mine are the other way around which explains why the battery is a tight squeeze past the end of the bolts. Hands up anybody who still has the decorative caps #9 in the diagram.
Tighten everything WELL!
My inclination exactly as we want that rear sub frame to be rigid which is why it's always been a puzzle to me that the recommended torque for these bolts is only 11 - 12.5 ft lb Without checking the exact figures that's way lower than typical for a high grade 8mm nut and bolt. The only reasoning I can think of for such a cautious figure is that in this location a sheared bolt is just as dangerous as a loose one actually more so as there would be no warning of failure.
I think I compromised between what the book said and what felt right and gave them 15 ft lb
