Sue, that's where you screwed up.

Cursing works far better than crying, IMHO.

I thought the same thing. One side tightened right up to the correct torque with no problems, the other got to around 15 lb/ft and started "turning", which also buggered up the cheapo aluminum crush washer.

That made me glad that I always order 10 of any crush/sealing washer I need. I was kinda pi$$ed at having to take the spring and stuff back out but not as much as if I had stripped something!
