How hot do does your coil get?

Wondering how hot your coil get's after a good run on your bike,mine is as hot as hell!!!i know they give high output,but it seems very hot to me!!!let me know,Julian.

To be honest, it's never occurred to me to feel my coil after a ride.  What prompted you to?

I had a earlier K100 coil i use on my R65LS,i managed to get the later version with the brown lead connectors,but it get's hot!!!the  one i was using was the older,but much larger black type,nothing wrong with it,i just changed it over,and noticed the heat!!the black one gave a reading of 2.0ohm,the new one 1.9ohm,both work fine,i think you don't want to go lower then 1.5ohm,but higher is ok with the electronic ignitionJulian.
