Ed,

I purchased my Z-3 from a dealer in Bend,OR., had the car shipped to my home in Arizona, to get a title and registration, the car had to go through a level 2 vehicle inspection, and emissions test,  the car had 14 miles on it.

Is Tempe an overpopulated area?  Please forgive my geographic ignorance of my birth state!  I just checked the status of my new tires from American Motorcycle Tire, and they're in Tempe right now!

Yeah, it's a way overpopulated area, Tempe's population is just under 200,000, around 4,000 people per square mile.

The whole Phoenix metro area is about 4.2 million people.

If it wasn't for the signs, you couldn't tell one city from another.

This area epitomizes 'urban sprawl', the metro area is about 70 miles north/south, and about 75 miles east/west.

I'm probably wrong here but I thought you had to re-test at the station that failed it. As all MOTs are now logged online will the original test flag up a fail? If so, the ANPR cameras could pick you out. Glyn.
You can retest anywhere but you pay the full fee i had no confidence in the test station so exercised my right and voted with my feet.
Did get an advisory though will start another post on that one

I live in a state of consternation - quite literally. South Australia is one of the few (only(?)) states in Australia that doesn't have any testing what-so-ever on cars and bikes.

While it is certainly a cheaper alternative to ya'all it does mean that SA has the oldest fleet of motor vehicles in the country. From memory I think it is about 12 years old. Quite a number of those cars should not be on the road.  >:(

And you think you've got an old fleet. Due to excessive taxing (180%) on any new vehicle, the Danish fleet averages 16 years and the authorities even decline to lower the tax on the reason that it is environmentally sound - Yes that is true, this was stated by one MP from the governing party.

greetings from a grey and windy north, but spring is coming tomorrow acording to the weather men

Trolle, are you saying the tax is almost twice the price of the vehicle?

He is! My brother and his wife just recently returned from a vacation which included Trolle's territory. The tax for new cars was all bro' could talk about. Said everyone rode bicycles and public trans. No doubt!

Yup, that is what I am saying: To buy this beatiful bike I will have to work 10 months after taxes (and hope that my wife will pay everything meanwhile):

greetings from a sunny, windy and relatively warm north where spring has arrived.
