Return to Willville, part III
« on: August 30, 2007, 05:35:01 PM »
It's almost time for Will's annual "Memories of Dan" cookout, held this year on Saturday, Sept. 8th.
There's always quite a good turnout, with lotsa folks coming from near & far, and plenty of good eats, friendship, and great camping.

More info about "...a simpler place in time" may be found at www.willvillebikecamp.com

If you're able, really oughta try to go, alright?
Great then, see y'all there! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Yes, the pavilion at Will's camp (pictured below) should be filled with two-wheeled campers who make the pilgrimage to Willville each September to pay homage and remember Dan.  If I can keep things together in my Probability & Statistics class, I will be there!  ;)

Yep, we'll be there!  We'll probably head up Saturday morning though as we have a friend receiving his Eagle Scout award on Friday evening.  We'll stay over till Monday to make up for it...  ;D

We're already itching for the mountains again!!

Well, unfortunately, I won't be making it to Willville for the Memories of Dan cookout.
Found out yesterday, and got more details today, that a very close co-worker's 20 y.o. son was killed in a stupid, stupid auto accident over Labor Day weekend. His mother, my friend, had just gotten a clean report card from a year-long battle with cancer, and now this. She and her 14 y.o. daughter are devastated.
What an absolute waste.

But, the funeral's Saturday, about a 3 hour drive each way, and coupled with the need to be home Sunday for my Dad's 75th birthday, there's no way it'll work.
I hope that all those who are able to go, will, and there's still other weekends left before Will locks 'er down for the winter, so see you later?

Hope the weather holds, and have a great weekend   [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Sorry I'm quite a bit late on this one.   My camera seemed to malfunction.  All my pictures turned out mostly black.  Then again, maybe the night time had something to do with it.  Had a great weekend, but no pictures to show for it.
