Cornhole Triumph
« on: November 03, 2015, 11:26:11 AM »
Since someone's honkin' big powerful computer tracks my web searches and buying habits, a few strange offers cross into my email box. The latest example:

I had recently searched for some Triumph bits through fleaBay, Amazon wimmen, and some web-based indie dealers. Had a good chuckle when Amazon sent a Triumph "suggestion" for me.

Seems there's a sports game manufacturer with the name Triumph. My offer from Amazoop was for a bean bag toss game that's commonly referred to as "cornhole". Have no idea of what n' where that game's name originated but it's not metric and wouldn't fit the Trophy anyways.

Now, when I was in the Carolinas in the seventies, corn hole meant a whole 'nother thing.

Got to agree with K_enn here about that disgusting name.  Unfortunately it's taken on a life of it's own.  When it come to throwing inanimate objects at a down range target I much prefer bowling, horseshoes, or hand grenades.  And you have to be mindful that as much as we like to think the internet is about the free exchange of information and ideas, it's really just one huge mass marketing scam.
