I had a nice ride planned out for Saturday afternoon but after a routine clinic visit that morning I ended up in hospital for an emergency operation on my leg..... I hope to be back in the saddle in a few weeks.

Cannot blame the doc.... I had a wound which was being treated and had to have the dressing changed daily i picked up a insect bite of some kind while in  South Texas, no idea what it was but it wouldn't heal after several antibiotics and had started to go down hill very badly.
Now have a gaping hole in my thigh where they have cut it out and back in for plastic surgery next  week.

Get well soon.  I had an ulcerated wound many years ago that was eating into my shin.  It took a long while to heal it up.

Hope that you are soon ixed up and back in the saddle again.   Sorry that some nasty southern bug did you a bad turn - that's one of the reasons why us Northerners tend to stay up here - fewer nasty bugs.... though we still do have tiny ticks that carry Lyme disease and mosquitos that carry Eastern Equine Encephalitis..    but no scorpions or tarantulas...

Well managed a ride out today, I took advantage of the nice weather but my thigh was quite sore when I got back...... Gertie sporting some new stickers, (thanks Monte) seems I was not alone as Squires was packed when I called for a coffee and a pasty on the way back.
