Did something really stupid yesterday, after the weekly shop at the supermarket I waltzed out of the store leaving my credit card in the till card reader, I have never done that before and did not realize my error until this morning.
I returned to the store and was surprised to be informed that they get about 6 a day which made me feel a bit better. The system that  they had in place was obviously well tried and tested but thankfully I got mine back without any issues after flashing my Police FAC as ID but wonder if it had happened in a less public place or corner shop if there would have been such an happy outcome.

At least you remembered what you went to the store for. I have walked out into the parking lot and realized the one item I needed was not purchased.Once it was a trip to buy a chicken for supper. That was years ago, it doesn't get better.
Wait until you get up and walk into the kitchen and can't remember why.

I started out to the supermarket with my credit card in hand to get a ?......at the hardware store I picked up a pair of pliers and had no cash so I went to the library and read the tabloids. Went back home and couldn't remember why I went out in the first place.

Once I was in the middle of changing TV channels and headed to the kitchen for a beer.  My wife called out for an ice cream.   I brought her the ice cream and my beer and left the remote control in the freezer..

Whereas I have intentionally put wet socks in the microwave for a fast dry cycle, forgotten them and been caught out by SWWBO.

I left my card in a news agents and did not use my wallet for 3 or 4 days.  When I finally looked in my wallet, I went through the rigmarole of cancelling the card, etc. I then remembered when I last used it and returned to the shop.  They had it, along with many others.

Got it back and cut it up.

Still, I have to look at my id card every morning, just to remind myself who I am

I've lost count the times I've gone into the garage and when I get there have no idea what I went there for .

I'm 57, I can see my future and it isn't 'pretty' !!!!!!

I hopped on my bicycle a couple of weeks ago and pedaled the 25km to work (I try to do this 3 times a week).
 
Got to work, had a shower and settled behind desk and only then wondered why place was empty, and for that matter why was the building so quiet.  Then penny dropped -
uit was a public holiday.

At least that wouldn't happen to me, as I have to do a hybrid commute if I bicycle -- 9 miles on the bike to catch a bus the rest of the way to work.  The buses don't run on my holidays.  

This morning sucked anyway -- foggy/misty/dark.  I keep telling myself "At least you're not on a treadmill!" though it sort of feels like I am.

Seem to have hit a rich vein here... I am digging some fence post holes(7) tomorrow hope I put them in the right place, or even in the right garden the way things are going................... anything is possible.
