Brings on a flood of memories of friends and brothers-in-arms no longer with us. The only other thing that comes close is the sounds of the Highland pipes.
Keep your bike in good repair: motorcycle boots are not comfortable for walking.

If memory serves, Clift Montgomery played Taps as a tribute to his friend, a young Frank Sinatra (Maggio?) who was stabbed by an equally youthful Ernest Borgnine.  
From Here to Eternity, one of my favorite all-time.  In my mind, Taps MADE the movie!
