The K75 Just got better
« on: February 19, 2012, 12:58:17 PM »
Had chance to give it a go over this weekend.... its a runner yippee [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif] just needs a battery.I wont put it on the road until end of next month as my insurance renews then and i will get a multi bike policy which will work out much cheaper.
I had a phone call from my brother this morning he had gone to pick up a battery cover for the Enfield which he left when he collected the bike, the PO told him to give to me a box..... contents all new BMW parts, 2 sets of brake pads. pair of fork gaiters, pair of fork seals , clutch plate , new Hagon shock plus special tools for oil filter and valve shims...... very nice all free.
heres some pictures only down side it needs front ABS sensor bit of corrosion on the frame and a dodgy paint job on part of the upper fairing.
Lou
Should i have put this in Chit Chat ?? mm

You definitely got a bargain there.  I'm a little jealous thinking of the price you paid, after watching the original thread.

I collected my '91 K75S from Munich and rode it around Europe for a few months before shipping it back home.  I recently put it back on the road after overhauling the water pump, the only major problem with it, apart from the ABS going u/s which I am working on.  And the original battery lasted thirteen years!

Cheers, Burt.
