The Dutch are already building floating houses/condominiums with gardens, etc.   I understand that they plan to construct several model communities to test the issues out on a reasonable scale, and then possibly, just stop pumping the sea water back out in several parts of their country.

This gave me a scare! I can't remember starting this thread and began to think of some of the more unpleasant consequenses of growing old, but then I discovered that the initial posting is almost two years old and feel excused.

You cannot expect - d*** I lost the thread ...

I can't believe Flash found it!  And the link still worked!  And I can actually stream the video at work behind the firewall!

I can understand why Holland would be pioneers in this sort of thing.
