This summer on the way home from work there was an accident on the west bound side of I-285. I was running the R65 up the east bound side and saw the conflagration across the wall on the other side. It happened at mile marker 55 which is about a mile before the turn off to I-75 north and south. I had just got off a trip and was tired and filed it in the back of my mind.
The next week this appeared...

...and I have been driving by it for the last six (?) months. Well Southwest Airlines has bought my airline and the last week I finally remembered to bring a camera to work to take some pictures of the place before it all goes away (as it must). And on the way to work I happened to remember that I had this camera. So I stopped and payed my respects.
I think it was a Harley guy but I don't really know. It is just motorcyclist probably a lot like us running around the southeast side of Atlanta on I-285 on his way to someplace fun having a great time riding the motorcycle of his choice probably with friends.
He had a cheap full face but it didn't do him much good because he received the worse for he wear.
And to make matters worse...

.. he left behind family that loved him. The "Happy Fathers Day Daddy" on the cross laying on the ground says it all.
So hug the ones you love either online or in person and ride the best motorcycles with the best gear and tires you can afford and
pay attention. And please don't get killed on the road I have to take to work every time I head to the airport or I might have to take notice...and pick up the Teddy bears and put fathers day crosses to rights.
Semper Fidelis.
