Les has made it to the North Island and his families home near Cambridge he spotted an Airhead at the Armistice day reenactment (strange but hey ho).......what is it ?? plus a nice old Norton

Judging from the headlight and fork assembly, I'm thinking it is a Chang Jiang, or possibly an older DNEPR..

Looks like a Ural - but then they are BMW's.There is a Classic bike show/meeting in Taranaki next weekend - we are going down,tell him to go too.I'll be going with a couple of Guzzi's,an R90S,a Darma and maybe an R65.I'll have to set my bike up this weekend - finish fitting my panniers,and change over to my touring wheels/tyres.Then see how much stuff I can load on.

Yes but i am a Texas Ranger which makes me one of the good guys as Monte and Bengt will confirm...lol

I will email him today , he has just bought an old Camper to go touring in but if he is in the area im sure he will want to go if so i will tell him to watch out for the r90s and make himself known.

Motu, I assume you're on the North Island?

A good friend moved to Nelson about two years ago. I was down to visit in April and will be going again in March I hope, assuming his wife approves of us wasting a few weeks at the bottom of countless empty bottles...again.

I'm in Huntly,an hour south of Auckland,and 45 mins from Cambridge.The National Classic Rally is in Inglewood.

Off to the Nation Classic Motorcycle Rally right now,back next week with some pictures.Pity it clashes with the Burt Munro weekend in Invergargill,because a lot of bikes are going down there.
