The Senate "porkulus" bill
« on: February 09, 2009, 07:43:04 PM »
Anybody that wants to see how casually congress throws around our money, and get really pissed off at the same time, should skim over this bill...

That is disgusting.  No wonder terrorists are attacking our way of life.  The way our government throws around money and dogma like so much grass seed (used to be chicken feed...).

And that is just ONE bill...

Our own government is going to do what all the terrorists in the world couldn't achieve - a cataclysmic collapse of our economy by printing more and more of the worthless sh**.

Or maybe the terrorists are in control, and we don't know it????  :o

What are you guys talking about - a paltry 1.5 TRILLION dollars is chump change, isn't it ?

Oh wait, that's the Zimbabwe currency - a monetary situation which we may all become too familiar with..

I had to quit reading for a while as I kept asking myself "What does this have to do with economic stimulation or job creation?"  It looks more like a vote purchasing scheme...  [smiley=furious3.gif]

I'm to the point where I hate pretty much all pols, irregardless of party affiliation...  [smiley=behead.gif]

Our founding fathers would probably have not even bothered if they knew how their experiment was gonna turn out.

Is there a version with hyperlinks in the table of contents?  The Table of Contents doesn't even have the page numbers.  I know, I know, they don't really want it read.  They've wrapped a bit of infrastructure investment inside a nice crispy roll of bacon.  But that's how the news is framing it anyway.  On the news here it's all about "What will this mean for Oregon?"  On the other hand, MY house is paid for and I'm sometimes enough of a nihilist to want to see it come down.  Out of curiosity.  But I bet I wouldn't like Somalia.

I couldn't understand any of it except the dollars (I had to keep checking to see if I was seeing 9 figures...) and the bureau it was going to.  And even that was vague enough that my feeble brain couldn't wrap itself about it.

No wonder being a lawyer is a prerequisite to politics!  You have to learn how to read that crap.

And since no one likes lawyers, it just follows that no one would like politicians.

How about this - if you have a law degree, you CANNOT run for public office!

Rob, I've felt that way for years!  I doubt the founders, even in their wildest nightmares, ever envisioned the country being ran by shysters...

Shoot - Obama is just one more sucker on top of a very ugly pile of senators and legislators.

Oh, and corporate money-mongers.
