Gas prices in other countries

I was wondering what "petrol" is costing in other countries, and found this link.  I'd consider moving to Venezuela if that idiot Hugo Chavez wasn't running that country!

Here's a site for fuel prices in the US and Canada.

Might come in handy to preplan your fuel stops based on price.

My youngest son is a 33-year old combat-arms Staff Sergeant in the USArmy; recently returned from a fifteen-month tour in Iraq. This was his third tour in some of the less than scenic parts of our world. He shared with me that when he arrived via Kuwait, gasoline in Baghdad was five-cents a gallon.

Home for the last four months, Zach phoned me last evening. "...just to give you a heads up, Dad. I may begin training-up, in September, for a Special Forces deployment to Afghanistan." This man has a wife and two pre-school aged little girls.

Monte - Know how you feel. My son is a major with the British Gurkha Battalion in the 'stan. At least he has good troops to look after him and he's not married nor has any kids( That we know of)

Returning to the thread of this post, Gasoline here in Indonesia was raised from $1.90 per gal to $2.50. There were riots in the streets but now everyone is riding plastic scooters

My late father spoke very highly of the Gurkha troops he was around during his Army Air Corps days flying the "Hump" during WWII. He always said no US soldiers EVER messed with them!

I was with the Gurkhas as well (after the Rhodesian Army) and they were not just superb soldiers but great folks as well. Pity they are getting screwed by the Brit govt.

Well isn't it a surprise that I pay most of all (Netherlands). Shell prices are 0.10€ higher compared to belgium, after wich the government charges about 0.80 € (per litre). Average price about €1,54/l (95 ron).
Over $8,-- /us gallon

My dad is currently in Afghanistan, full time Army National Guard.  The man is 56.  He volunteered to go so one more guy with a young family wouldn't have to.

I love my dad, admire him, and I'm proud of him, but I want him home.

And for all that he buys me a burkha.

I'll be praying for your boy and the rest of his family--including you.

Its £1.02 a litre for unleaded(95) - having just come down from £1.29 max recently.

That makes $6.69 for US gallons currently.  A very few months ago it would have been over $8.40 per US gallon.

Imperial gallons are bigger - but it just makes them more expensive >:(

I am starting to need a reason to go out and ride.  Going out just to ride is becoming a luxury.  Fortunately the R65 is more economical than the Honda CRV that I have.  So I ride my bike when I can.

As of 17 Oct 2008... $2.29 for regular in Denton, Texas. Just wait though. Something will happen to drive prices back up after the Presidential election in three weeks.  >:(

This morning gas had dropped to $2.75 at one station.  Most are around $2.85/gal in our area outside Atlanta.
