Gas Tank Liner
« on: August 27, 2008, 07:41:01 AM »
Hi All, Does anybody have a idea, or a good link to cleaning out a Gas Tank. Mine was supposed to have been sealed with something but after the first gas it looks like some big sheets of polyurithane pealing off on the inside... Just when I was ready for my first ride on it!!!!!!!!!!! bummer...

thanks

I'll second the POR15.  I have lined two tanks with it and so far it's great.  I have also used Eastwood's (http://www.eastwoodco.com) liner stuff but don't like it as much as the other.  A big gripe about the Eastwood liner is the prep.  You have to locally procure muriatic acid and acetone to do the prep so when you get done it costs almost twice as much as the POR15 kit.
