   I love this site, I am learning so much so fast! First Thank Y'all for the tech advice on my tachometer, I haven't pin pointed the prob yet, never the less, Thanks to all that replied! I noticed the offset of the heads on the LS, but didn't notice the peg offset...I had a crotch rocket b4 the Awesome R65LS, so sometimes I ride with my heels on the passenger pegs...long distances of course, a little easier on my aging back!
  My nearest BMW Dealer is 150 miles away, I need to do the back breaks, just got them in the mail...wish me luck...Thanks again!

I do the feet on the back pegs as well on long motorway trips. Got into the habit on the Bimbo (an 83 LS with a pilscher fairing) as it dropped my head into the still air behind the fairing.
