Thanks for the welcome back! I really am glad to be back home. No matter how nice it was on Maui, I still like home. Sonoma County has its own divine sunsets.

Also there are many more wonderful roads to ride around here.

Bob, I didn't notice that they used crushed shells in the asphalt. I think not though. I didn't see that many shells around. The ones on the beach were really little and there weren't many. Maybe there are more on the other islands. I've heard there are a lot of shells on the Florida beaches. I think they may use shell in the asphalt where they have a big commercial shell fish industry.
The sunsets there were mostly very nice, but the clouds (from all that water all over the place) sometimes obscured and sometimes enhanced them. But I'll tell you, they were short. Because Hawaii is at such a southern latitude, once the sun has set it gets dark within a couple of minutes. Unlike in Alaska where the sunsets last for hours, or maybe even days if you are far enough north. [smiley=grin.gif]
I have a lot more pictures, but I didn't want to overwhelm everyone. I may put up a few more when I go through them again if there is anything that is just too good to not show.
I think the trip has caught up with me. Actually, I think the getting home has caught up with me. This is going to be a long, tiring week. I think I like having lots of days off in a row. [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]
Aida, I like that smiley guy too. Maybe we're not supposed to be able to read what it says.
Now for the next goal - the 49er Rally.
