screen refresh
« on: October 27, 2017, 06:03:28 AM »
Back in  the day when everything was "normal",  when I would click the REFRESH button it would refresh what ever page I was on. THEN..........after the hosting change I noticed that when I hit refresh it would take me back to the main screen, just as if I had clicked the BOARD INDEX button.

This worked for me as the BOARD INDEX button is not always on screen and the refresh button is always there.  I had less scrolling to do to get back to the main screen.  Its been that way since the host change.

Well, today it has changed back to the way it was. Now the REFRESH button just refreshes the page that I'm on.

Is where I'm refreshing to, a host thing or a local thing?

I just tried and it still takes me back to the main page after a refresh. I'm on my phone.  I've also had problems for a while now where it constantly scrolls itself back to the top of the page as I'm trying to read.

I've only had this one issue with the different outcomes when I refresh. Can't say it's a problem, just odd. My cat does leap upon my desk to get it's lil pumpk'n head scratched on occasion and he has been known to make key strokes that have taken me hours trying to figure out and get back to normal LOL

The "Action Bar" with Board Index/Photo Gallery/etc stays at the top of the page with the new software and clicking the browser's refreash button takes you back to the main page.

You will notice options of where to go after posting a reply to a thread and also at the bottom left where you can click to go back to the particular board thread list.  All is working as designed.

-BPT - I haven't seen what you describe, or had it reported, so I am leaning toward it being a local issue to you.

On your phone?

If not, it could be the scroll button on your mouse.

...or a cat!

Yep, it's on my phone (Android/Galaxy S5). No cats or mice to blame.
