new message buttons
« on: February 27, 2012, 02:27:06 PM »
If I type r65.org in the address bar I get redirected and everything on the page is as it should be, new message/activity buttons are working. I'm using Firefox

However,  if I type bmwr65.org on the same browser I go directly to the page with no redirect but the activity button are not there , gone, missing, poof!

Is this issue with my browser? My PC ? or the site... where do I go looking for issues? I'm thinking the activity buttons work with cookies in my browser/pc, but bottom line, I'm clueless.

thanks for any help and sorry I'm void on how this box/pc handles stuff like this....and yes, these are the same buttons I piss and moan about because the blink too darn slow.

I figured it out!!!!!

When I would go to r65.org I was getting signed on automatically and then redirected to the page. When I went to bmwr65.org i was being connected without being "signed on".  I can't remember when the last time I was NOT signed on and forgot(maybe never knew) that as a guest you don't get new message indicators. The new message buttons do not work if you are not signed on. The direct route to the site did not recognize the cookies left from the other redirect route and plunked me in the forum without signing on. At least that's what I think was happening. Bottom line, I'm fixed now.

Now If I could just get those lil buggers to flutter rather than flaaaaaash.
