Was going to ask the same thing, but Tony beat me to it!  So I'm assuming the brackets mount to the pannier frames / bag carriers somehow, and not to the bags themselves, or do they attach somewhere else?

That is correct. They mount to the pannier frames...then the turn signals mount up to those. I have 2 sets... one roughly welded up but can likely be cleaned up if you are handy with a die grinder.  Would be happy to let them go ... not looking to make anything but don't want to pay for shipping

That sounds like the ideal scenario for Tony & myself!  Happy to pay for shipping to the UK as long as it's not stupidly expensive, however I have one more question either for you or the wider R65.org audience:  Do these brackets fit to the old tubular pannier frames, or is it only the  cast alloy style?  I have the tube type, but I've seen the cast type on other (later - I think) bikes - in fact I have one (one side only) that came attached to my boxes!).

Thought I had responded to this - I definitely typed something out!  Many thanks for the offer, but I'll pass, as there are no fixing holes on my tubular frames to screw these into.  Hopefully someone else on here might be able to make use of them?

Hi guys...will be getting brackets out tomorrow...work sent me away to work with a new racecar... and now sick family is keeping me from running errands. Sorry for the delays!

Got the bike back today - was gone for nearly 10 days traveling and was happy to have had the new Cone Engineering mufflers mounted up. The bike sounds awesome.

Any tips on tuning the carbs after I tear in to the intake and repair anything in there that might need fixing?

The "list" to date:

• removed krausers & brackets

relocated rear turn signals
header wrap
Cone Engineering mufflers
Made new battery pad
Rebuilt airbox
new air filter
new spark plugs
new intake boots (airbox and carb side)
new vacuum lines (airbox and carbs)[/list]

In the coming weeks I'll be doing more mechanical things like:
Rebuild carbs
Rebuild front forks (fork seals)
Rebuild calipers (& new pads)
Stainless braided brake lines
New rear shocks
Remove, empty and repaint tank and fender

I'm assuming the vacuum lines are part of the "Pulse-Air" crap that most people remove.  You can rip all that stuff out and use timing hole plug in the airbox to plug the holes and Oilhead oil drin plug to plug the holes in the head.  A lot more sanitary looking when removed.
