After living with my R65 for three months and finding some rather "casual" maintenance in several areas, I have become kinda suspicious of almost everything.
The bike is not falling apart by any stretch of the imagination, but I'd like to have confidence in vital areas. That's why I've spent so much time and energy -plus several bucks- in rehabing the R65.
My question concerns the carbs. I've dropped the float bowls and done a bottom inspection. Remarkably clean bowls and overall shiny looking bits. The maintenance records that came with the bike have nothing about carb o'hauls. Flat tire, oil purchases, assorted cables and spring returns, etc.
What's the best deal out there for carb overhaul kits? Price, availability and delivery? I've looked and have a couple ideas but those that have "been there, done that" are a better resource. Your thoughts?
Of late, having played with my bike and Cabriolet for so many hours and days, I now must spend some penance time, aka: quality time, with my wife at her family's reunion somewhere in East Texas. I checked... the county is "dry". Big Fun! See y'all in a couple. [smiley=zzz.gif]
