Hi people. Im new to this forum. Just got my donor r65, will be my project to revive and probably add the modern touch without loosing the vintage sense of this lovely bike. I plan to strip it all down and I suppose its going to be a long and enjoyable road. Thanks to the admins for keeping this group together for the like minded people.

When the opportunity arises, please post up a photo and share with us the vintage of your donor R65.

Good idea to locate a shop manual. A Haynes or Clymer, or even both, as each publication may do a better job describing a specific operation than does the other. And prior to grabbing a bigger hammer, post up questions beforehand. The Airheads are simple tractors but there are correct ways and expen$ive ways of doing things.

Quite possibly but whilst i initially quite chuffed at finding the online Sega emulator with zero-wing available, it took about 30 seconds to lose interest.

Yes welcome! As was said, many Australians turning up. There is a mass of interest in the R65 all around the country right now as more and more bikes come onto the market.

I notice the northern hemisphere members are getting a little quieter this month as many get ready for hibernation.

Looking forward to hearing more about your new Beemer and seeing some photos!

I agree with Bob. While not as extreme as Bob's portion of the world, this is prime riding weather in the SE US, Cool enough to be comfortable in full riding gear yet not so cool to need heated gear. If it was like this all the time EVERYONE would live here!

It looks pretty quiet to me! Not much action on the site for the last couple of weeks. Hope that means that members are enjoying trouble free riding.

So, Eric, how is your project progressing? There is an amazing amount of information available online about these bikes but it is just a tiny fraction of the knowledge and experience available on this forum.

There is snow on the ground, a 2 hour drive north of me .
Colder conditions are creeping across the northern part of the US .
Overnight lows here are around 45 F, 7 C and daytime highs around 80 F, 27 C, low humidity as well, 12% at the moment .
Perfect riding conditions !!!
And lower fuel prices as well .
Costs less than $10US to fill up the R65's and the Guzzi from reserve .
