Is the vehicle identification  plate on the right side steering head gusset, the norm for Euro spec bikes

Nothing like that for North American version bikes .

Yes that's standard, Gertie has one, also as far as I recall the engine number and frame numbers are matching on UK/EU bikes I forgot to check what mileage it had on it but Andrew was asking me how I got the alloy Snowflakes and engine bits to look so good on Gertie er alloy clean (acid ) and a pressure washer, for some reason his alloy wheels where blotchy  so I advised him to have his rims soda blasted.
