.....that you see something like this. The R 65 LS - 1981, belonging to a friend, has just been FULLY restored here in Bali (by an Italian genius!).
The black R65 (1986) is mine.

Both beautiful bikes. I can't imagine the resto difficulties and challenges presented by the location of Bali. Thank goodness for internet resources.

Actually he probably has more advantages than disadvantages. labour is cheaper for anything that is farmed out for one thing, and from a recent post is seems to take less time for Balibeemer to get stuff mail order than it takes mine to arrive.

My next door neighbor is an engineer who works in Indonesia coming home for a week or so every couple of months (and therefore the best neighbour we have ever had). He constantly raves about how cheap trades work is in Indonesia.
