Off to meet the engine rebuild guy this weekend and I have had a couple of engine casings aqua blasted, wow! what a difference :D

A pal is grinding down the 27mm socket for the swing arm pivot bolts and then we are almost at the bottom of the strip down!

The frame & other "black" parts are off to Triple SSS for shotblasting and repaint and then it's bench time for all those little bits & pieces...

I'll post some new pics soon to show progress, I have to confess I am just a little excited... ;D :D

What pressure do they use for aqua blasting Chris and could it be done with the engine in the frame ??,

Hi Lou,

Sorry mate I don't know, want me to find out?

The casings went into a small booth, there was a lot of fluid draining into a tank underneath, so I would have thought, no way for cleaning in-situ.

The effect was amazing, really clean and a depth to it. The guy said that he can "adjust" the finish depending on pressure. I am going for a slightly polished look.

I think the engine will look really good when done.

The company is based in Golcar, just outside Huddersfield.
