I just came across this forum and since I have had a 1979 R65 for about 8 or 9 years and looks like I will be keeping it for as long as possible, decided this could be a good forum to be a part of.  I bought it to keep me sane while doing an extensive remodeling on a house.  When I got tired of the house I would work on restoring the R65.  It seemed to have worked as when it came time to move the house sold for good money, I pretty much restored the R65 (they are never truely done are they?), and I think I am still sane, or at least as much as I ever was!

Welcome aboard!

We've got several Texan R65ers on here - though I think they're all further north from you, closer to DFW area.  And, unlike some folks, they aren't "All Hat.." either!

Post a pic of your bike when you can!

... I think I am still sane...

We can fix that, TexSon.

Bienvenidos to the R65 asylum. You can check in but you sure can't ever check out. [smiley=naughty.gif]

We love retina bacon so do post up a shot or dos of your R65. And to help keep our web host happy, please limit size of photos to a max of 640x480 pixels. Gracis por este.

San Antone is un presidio grande. Are you north side or south side homey? I believe our member closest to you is Chewy in New Braunfels.

Welcome TexSon!  What Monte says.  Never mind New Braunfels.  How close are you to the Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner where they brew that nectar of the gods?  We really should hold a mini-rally there some time. [smiley=beerchug.gif]
