I have had a pair of BMW boots (with Gortex) since around 1996, or so.  I have LOVED them!  They are some of the most comfortable shoes I own, and they just laugh at the rain!

They are falling apart, though, (but still waterproof!) and it is time to replace them.  

BMW is currently making what they call the "All Around Boot" for $235 USD.

Sidi On Road. Best money I have ever spent on footwear and 100%, no questions asked waterproof.

I've been using my Gaerne trials boots for the last 7 year...because I ride trials sometimes too.I've been riding ADV bikes for the last 10 years too,so the dirt boots are good.Looking for some road boots,I got some cheap Chinese Johnny Reb knock offs....but I don't like the high heels.I'll be looking for some high lace up boots next.

I've had my Alpinestars goretex boots for a couple years now and am quite happy with them.  They've changed the model line around since I bought them - I think that the equivalent boot now is called their "web Goretex boot" - good protection, waterproof and decent price.  They do get warm if it is very hot temps - maybe too hot for some climates with the Goretex liner.  They do fit well for people with narrow-medium width fit, not super wide feet.

For the last 5 years, I've been using the BMW 'tennis sneaker' type boot .

But my version comes up over the ankle a few inches .

Don't need cold weather gear, or anything waterproof, living and riding in a desert .

I also have and love the Sidi On Road boots.  I ride in too much rain to not have really waterproof boots.  Spendy though, I hope they last 10 years.

Normally I wear a pair of m/c boots made by Frank Thomas and sold by Cycle Gear.  For an inexpensive they are pretty good and very dry.  On occasion I'll wear a pair of Red Wing steel toe lace ups and very occasionally a pair of Justin steel toe work boots.

Never flip flops or sandals.  I don't want people thinking I ride a Hardly or a Gold Wing.

I've only ever bought two pairs of motorcycle boots in my life. Paid a lot for these "Goldtop Trophy" boots as worn by British Police back in the early 80's. Like me they have had a period of rest from motorcycling in the intervening period so I've only had about 18 years of actual use out of them so far.

Lost count long ago how may soles and heels they have had and some minor repairs were done recently but many years of life in them yet.

The All-Around Boot is a good boot.  I just got them this year, and they are comfortable, and waterproof.

When I started out riding, I had a pair of RoadMan boots.  They were the best I ever had, and after the first pair could no longer be rebuilt I got a second pair.  Alas, RoadMan went bust a number of years ago, and I never really found a boot that I liked until I got the BMW All-Around.

BMW Touring Boots "Allround" (72 60 7 689 130)  Â±$175 on sale.

I love them.  Good protection from the wet, and heat.  Non-slip soles.  Gore-Tex. Nice velcro front closure over vertical zipper. I can wear them all day with no problems and good comfort.  I've been through several down-pours through West Texas and throughout the South and my feet have never gotten wet. And they give moderate comfort in the desert heat with ventilation.

The pidgeon in Salt Lake didn't survive.  I think it was a pidgeon.

Not really cycle boots.  Guaranteed wet feet in the rain.  Went totally out of fashion 25 years ago.  But super comfortable, great to walk even long distances in and I can get by wearing them at work when I take the bike.  Doc Martens 1460's.
