A Bit about "Pooh"
« on: July 11, 2010, 05:25:22 AM »
What can i say about a man i never met......
Pooh was held in high regard by everyone who knew him, i never met him in the flesh but had some interesting "exchanges" with him on the forums and always enjoyed his posts  which were down to earth and took no prisoners.
His love of Airheads was legendary sort of a "British Oak"in particular he loved his bike called "Wobble" seen in the Photo.
We had planned a get together on the "Gabfesters" Bmw forum and "Pooh" had been given the honor of choosing the dates, sadly events conspired against us and in the end it was cancelled.
After his death we decided that the planned ride/camp would go ahead in his honor. There's a thread here off the classic bike forum that will give you a flavour of the guy and the respect that he was held in...some of the language along the way is uncompromising and Poohs post on page 3 just about sums him up.
Sue,s (Mrs Pooh) closing comments are incredibly moving, if you feel emotionally strong enough read it but have the tissues ready.

And we are all a bit poorer for the loss of your friend.  So little time so get out and ride.
