Calling All Brits/Limeys and Poms
« on: September 22, 2009, 10:34:55 AM »
Just to let you all know there is another BMW forum in the UK made up of some old reprobates from the old defunct Motobins forum.

Its called 'gabfesters'.  The membership is small but quite noisy and there is a quite a bit of ribbing going on.  But it is more 'local' and we do meet up now and again to swap tall stories, take the mick and listen to the bulls*it everyone else is spouting.

Just to let you all know.  You can be a member of more than one forum - even I used to frequent Boxerworks.  Not that I would leave this one.

The gabfesters forum is a more general BMW forum, with Ks and Oilheads as well - but eventually we will re-educate them all.  Airheads are best - especially the R65's

Thanks for listening

Thanks steve. I just registered

I keep an eye on quite a few airhead  forums. Boxerworks doesn't seem the same since the server went down and the "entertainment" isn't what it was.  Still has  some very experienced members though.

Our own R65 forum is easily the best at the moment.

Yes - its just away to keep the automated junk mail/spammers at bay.

I have put a welcome message up, so hopefully the administrator will pick up on it quickly enough.  Using the same names - I can see Nice One Son is the newest member.

Nice One Son,

A Pom is a term of endearment commonly used by Australians to express the love they have for the British and the English in particular eg, winging Pom ect.

ps ask Aussie to confirm its true meaning!!
