This is beautiful with enough HP!
« on: August 27, 2009, 02:58:31 PM »
A lot heavier than the MG V7 but look at this: Got around 70 hp but seat higher and needs cutting down which would be a shame.

There are some nice bikes on ibmwr.org marketplace too. An R100CS replica named Red Baron!!! 1st page of the R bikes.

Just dreamin' an afternoon away most pleasantly!

I wonder what it will finally go for. It is very tempting [smiley=wall.gif] but really can't justify a second bike :'(

Let's be perfectly honest, it's really difficult to justify the first bike.  So if we can't justfity the first bike but got it because we wanted it, then it's just a baby step to get the second one "just because" we want it.  Go ahead, go for it!  Keep it for a few years and when you sell it you'll get most of your money out of it.  You can do it, give in to temptation!  Mwahahahahaha!!! Very evil, but so so seductive, I could be in our 4th of July parade on that beauty, so it would be a patriotic purchase. It would stimulate the economy (Not Mine >:() but I would be doing my part to spend our way to wealth and happiness :D It is true that there was a wee bit of rationalization for my LS ::) but the leap for the second bike would be a tad delusional [smiley=dizzy2.gif] Dave 2

1st bike - not a problem.
2nd bike - definitely a bit harder.
3rd bike - now it gets really tough - though Justin has managed to pull it off nicely..

Although I love her dearly, my S.O. , when it comes to my toys, can speak the undeniable voice of reason and reality. However, for the most part she is gracious in her acceptance of my indulgences. She does insist on a parking space IN the garage during the winter(Humph!)...you see there is also the matter of my 55 year old wooden skiff that can't be out in the elements, nor can my LS, or all the yard/garden machines :) So toy storage space is also factor to consider.

One really lucky guy here - it is my S.O. that wants another bike!!!
She did a test ride on a Moto Guzzi Jackal - liked the added HP but not the bike. she preferred her R65!  I'm going to put the seat on the R1100R in the lowest position and see how she likes that.  Otherwise the new 650GS has her eye. Although I wonder how long she will be happy with an 800.  That would make one bike for each of 5 decades - each BMW with a different engine!
