Welcome aboard Olddog/Pete ,

Our membership from OZ seems to be growing quite rapidly !

Post pictures of your bike, and of your riding area, a  'roo picture posing next to your bike might be a good one.

If they reside in your locality .

Great to have you join us Pete, you old dog.  Let's see what you have.  I have an 83 also but while mechanically sound she has a few blemishes.

Canada welcomes you Pete! With this forum well bookmarked as a favourite, you will be in good hands with any questions that creep up, despite the bike being in good order. It is old...somewhat like us?
1983 R65LS - LRB still my favourite!? 1988 Honda NX250, "Toodles Too" and a Suzuki DR650, "Calypso." All stored in the "Brrrmmm Closet".

Ashes?  Sounds like something from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Am I close?

I'm not just close, I'm right.  In one of the Hitchiker's guide, etc. books, there's mention of the ashes at a cricket match.  That gets crashed by killer robots, and they steal the ashes.
