Change of mount....!
« on: May 05, 2009, 01:45:43 PM »
I've been riding the R65LS for a while now....and finally admitted that my back can't handle the low bars...and my lady friend can't handle the lightning(!) acceleration without a topbox/backrest! Thus...I am the lucky guy who won a beautiful R65 on eBay(UK) and am now selling the R65LS in the same market place! The R65 is lovely and the riding position just right....a happy bunny at home too!

Wow, look at the headlights on that baby!  Are they auxiliary or on full time?  Is that a stock side stand?

I bought the bike from a splendid chap in Yorkshire...Uk ..and he said that the topbox came from Germany. It has a built in brake light with flashing lights and a very nice backrest for my lovely passenger ! The lights were also added by the previous owner and are switchable.he used them as daylight riding lights although they are certainly powerful. Not sure where the sidestand came from......not the legendary Surefoot is it..? The original is still fitted.

That looks like a machine made for long distance riding !
Glad to hear that your partner enjoys it too!

I don't think that you'll have any issues seeing what is ahead of you on the bike, and you've got alot of caargo capacity as well, very nice

Oh, that is sweet.  You've got a really nice set up there.  I like that windshield too.   Good for you on your great purchase.

Thank you all....! We plan to ride down to Croatia in September...which should be wonderful.I made it to Slovenia a few years back on my old Eastern European MZ250....This should be a wee bit more relaxing!

From what I can see it looks like a Surefoot.  I have one fitted to mine.

Looks the same.

Nice Bike!  Like the handlebar windshield...how tall are you?

I added some 12 inch pull backs to get a more upright position for my 6'2" frame.

Could you show a close-up  picture of the Aux Lights mounting brackets?

Thanks,

Fantasti bike!  A real road machine.  You will surely be turning heads all the way to Croatia and back. [smiley=cool.gif]
