Big Mothers Day crowd
« on: May 10, 2009, 02:32:37 PM »
About 11:00 am CDST on this Mothers Day morning, I noticed there were ten members and six guests on-line. Cool.

Hopefully, all moms got earlier preferential treatment or late lunches.

Happy Mothers Day. I wouldn't be here without you, Mom.  [smiley=dankk2.gif]   Monte

For mothers day I was in the poo deep.

For work last week I had to fly down to Melbourne (3000kms) and while there decided I'd prolong my trip over the weekend to visit my mum and dad in Geelong.

My wife said "you know you're away for Mother's day" to which I replied "But I'll be spending Mother's day with my Mother" she replied "But I'm the mother of your children"
Then I commented "It's Mother's day not Wive's day"
Daggers appeared in her eyes.

I was let off a tiny bit because I posted the kids some blank cards that I wrote MUM on and textas, stickers, glitter glue, for them to make their own mother's day cards.

My mother was very happy to spend the day with me. :)

I'm with you Darwin.  You did the right thing by being with your mother.  Aren't wedding anniverseries the same thing as "wives" day?  And how about St. Valentine's Day?  That's a Hallmark holiday if there ever was one.  Tell her to pull up her big girl panties and get over it.  Of course a bouquet of flowers may be in order if you want to get back in the house.  Just don't give her a dozen red roses for no particular reason.  She'll think you've been up to something.

Dear God, Mike!  As a veteran of the divorce wars and currently trying very hard to be a good dog; meaning I don't pee on my wife's shoe collection any more, I need to sit you down over a few beers and get you squared away before the 6th.

Does Feonce log onto this site? Is your health insurance paid up? Does the name Lorena Bobbit mean anything to you at all?

Folks, let's put our hands on the radio, get in touch with the Lord and try to keep Bengt hog tied until the 7th.

Monte, I have to tell you, last evening sitting out by the pool enjoying the cool breeze throught the oleander and sipping a glass of fine Italian pino greezio, I asked Feyonce' "are you upset I didn't do anything for Mothers Day for you?"  Understand, this took more than a modicum of courage for Feyonce' is 5'11", from East Texas, and can tell a man to go to hell and make him look forward to the trip.  She gazed back into my green eyes and said, "Of course not you idjit, I'm not your mother!".  Whew, dodged another oncoming truck!
