Marlboros in Bali?!

What do they cost?  (Your other imports being so expensive...)

Thanks for the hint, BTW.  I have 1 1/2 rocker covers coming off the bike soon.

Maybe I could use the cover that [most likely] has holes in it in some kind of water feature?

At current exchange rates, about 85 cents US per packet - Locally made. The copies from china are cheaper but are COPIES, a black industry that costs Phillip Morris about US $ 4 billion per year!

Incredible!  I don't do tobacco myself, but I used to do road trips with a friend who would travel 2+ hours 1-way to save on their Marlboros.  Finally, Kentucky (next state down) changed their tax laws that caused the trip to be not worthwhile.

It seems a pack of "American cigarettes" as they used to say in the war movies, costs around $3.75/pack for the Marlboros.

I don't think ANY brand is sold here for less than $1.  (taxed for cancer research and government anti-smoking propaganda)

I quit a couple of years ago after the state decided to add another $10/carton tax to 'em.  I think they are in the $4-$5 range for single packs , now...  >:(

But you are putting that $5/day in your secret hiding place, right?

My decrease in salary has more than taken care of the $5/day savings...

The Indonesian government regards smoking related diseases and death by Yamaha, Honda et al to be a form of population control..........It used to be the responsibility of the armed forces but they do not have very reliable ammo!

I have always said the U.S. needs to concentrate on thinning the herd, instead of spending billions so the rich folks can live longer.

I quit smoking several years ago, but I never smoked one that I did not enjoy and I still like the way they smell.

I like the smell of a freshly opened pack!

I used to go get my dad a new pack from his den.  I would open them up, and tap the cigs out a little, and arrange them in a 'proper' fashion like I learned from the ads!

I'm trying to give up - I smoke a pipe and it costs $27.00 for a packet of tobacco - now I'm not sure - but I think it could probably put the money to better use...by my estimate I could save approx $A4 500 a year.... [smiley=furious3.gif] that's a LOT of money
