Mick's rtw?
« on: May 28, 2008, 12:49:14 PM »
Hi all
Anyone heard from Mick McMillan (http://mickrtw.blogspot.com) lately? I know one of you guys on here had been in touch with him a while back. I have been watching his blog with interest for some time, however Mick has not updated it for some months. I emailed him a couple of weeks back to see if he had arrived home in Scotland but have not had a reply as yet.
Just hope he is ok

He got home safely about a month ago, and he replied in his email that his blog would be updated in a few weeks afterward, guess that's not the case !!

But I guess with being gone from home for about 19 months, there's a lot of catching up to do.

Thanks Bob

Wow that was some journey to undertake especially on a bike 25yr old bike, and here's me worrying about a daily commute of 30 miles? Reading his entries he did not seem to have that many major breakdowns,l I think most problems were electrical. Wonder if he will write a book on his experiences,  it would make a good read for us r65ers

Steve.

I think his biggest concern right now, are finances, he made the comment that he is now penniless, and wouldn't be 'properly' paid until he got back to work in September, as a primary school teacher.
