Oh, Happy Day
« on: April 18, 2008, 07:48:48 AM »
Tomorrow morning, Saturday 19 April at zero-dark-thirty, I'm rolling south to Austin in my gas guzzlin' Ford pick'em'up to collect my new/old R65 from my son's garage.

Since buying the bike two weeks ago, BMW pieces parts have been collecting on the workbench. My credit card is sorta singed on the edges.

Note to self: Lay off the gas. Don't need a ticket on I-35. As cool Texan Robert Earl Keen sings, "The road goes on forever and the party never ends."

As far a collecting parts; I've found that any stray part hung by a waxed string in the garage tends to attract other parts. I started with a Triumph exhaust valve and now have 2 frames and 6 bins of parts. I need to hang my old BMW wheel bearings up next to see what happens [smiley=smiley.gif]

[major snork] Ooooh! I have a few things to tie up with string in the garage!

Seriously, have a great drive there and back, MM! We'll all be thinking of you AND waiting for a full report.  ;D
