Any interest in stainless steel bolt kits?
« on: December 14, 2007, 10:11:10 PM »
After rooting around my shop, and seeing a lot of stainless hardware that I will probably never use, I have decided to see if any of y'all would like a fairly complete stainless hardware kit.  It would cover pretty much all "seen" nuts and bolts along with some that are not seen but I feel having them stainless would be a good idea.  There would be around 200 pieces and would cover:

Front axle pinch-bolts
Front fender brace attaching hardware
Rear axle pinch-bolt
Exhaust hardware
Master cylinder mounting
Transmission rear cover
transmission shift arm
Rear subframe
Rear shocks
Rear fender and rear light-bar
Valve covers (the little nuts and washers)
Carb top screws
Starter cover
Front cover
Oil pan
Oil filter cover
Headlight bracket mounting
Battery tray mount nuts and washers

I have quite a lot of these but some sizes I will have to order and since it will be a substantial cash outlay I'm not inclined to to do that if there is no interest.  I also have stainless hardware for Brembo caliper mounting but am undecided as whether to use them.

I figure the cost will be in the $85-$90 (plus shipping/handling) range, depending on what the shipping costs to me for the bulk hardware is.  This won't be quite as complete as the kits from "The Bolt Guy" but will be about $100 less

I may be interested if the price is right - some nuts and bolts on Tillie are still in fairly decent shape, but some, such as on the battery box, exhaust , and
rear axle pinch bolt for example, are a fairly consistent "brown" color !
