Which fairings do you consider the best, (price, confort, size etc.) and is Pichler still making them (has any one owned one). Looking forward to your comments so I can narrow the field of candidates.

I can recomend Pichler as it is really good tupperwear on the bike, but if do fit one, be aware that they are not a rugged as as Stock gear, and do not take kindly to spills. I managed to trash the one I got with the Bimbo dropping the bike at walking pace :(

Let's think about this.  If someone was after a sporting look (with protection) I would start haunting e-Bay and piece together an RS fairing.  In fact, I know I've seen several complete ones go for well under $500...

POr, if touring is more your style the RT fairing would be an easy bolt-on.  One currently on e-Bay for a little over $300 with about a day to go.  Looks to be complete with all mounting hardware/brackets, etc.

I have an aerflow still in the box--it looks like a quality item, but I have not put it on, so I have no clew how well it works.  If you could go back in time, or back into eBay, you might find an old SAENG fairing.  I must have put 30 K or more on my Saeng, and always found them to be good protection in the winters here in Md.  If you did find one, be sure that it is set up to fit your model bike.  The handlebar mounts were all custom made to each particular model, so they won't go from bike to bike easily.
Just one opinion....Ed out.

I want a Hannigan.

I would love to get rid of my draggy Luftmeister for a sleek Hannigan.  But oh the price to be paid.

I like my stock LS fairing, keeps all sorts of weather off me (if I don't ride in it), keeps the bugs off my jacket, and looks REALLY COOL.....Dew.

The fairing on this R100 (from europe) looks pretty cool/interesting - I like the built in driving light nacelles above the cylinders.
I'd be interested in putting a bid on it, but I have now promised my wife that yes, we will get new appliances for the kitchen and
laundry room this winter. (sigh). ::)
