Hi Thorfinn,

How lucky you are!!  Fork brace and dual brembos.  What a pretty bike!  Love the silver.  What year?

Great looking bike !Do you have any significant mechanical issues to deal with, other than what would be expected with being stored that long. How many miles/kilometers does it have on it?

Thanks for the kind comments, chaps. I think i was quite lucky to get this bike...30 000 miles on the clock, obviously well looked after in the past (previous owner was, I believe, an aeronautical engineer). As it  happens I don't like the silver vtoo much - and it blends too well into the grey British sky - so i'm considering a change of colour this year, possibly to Yellow. 8-)

The pic was taken in the bike-shed at work - the bike next to it is a Yamaha FZ6 belonging to the chef in our works canteen!

It looks fantastic!  It would have made a nice option for a few folks but then BMW would have diluted it's flagship motorcycle's best attribute so I can see (from a marketing point of view) why they didn't.  But, look at it this way, it makes you even the more lucky to have found one!

Yes, blue pinstripes. Which you may be unhappy to hear are being comprehensively lost under coats of primer at the moment...I'm going for the YELLOW respray option...will post pics when it's finished, I suspect that not all will approve!
